Mint Windows are passionate. We are passionate about life and helping kids, even when they occasionally break a window! We want to help support young people by giving them exceptional opportunities, that they may not otherwise be able to experience.
Wanderers Australia are an organisation that help facilitate unique sporting experiences that most kids only dream of. They create tours that allow kids to challenge themselves, step outside their local environment, travel abroad, meet local kids, and explore different cultures. In 2024, they have invited a group of junior soccer players to embark on an unforgettable journey to the heart of soccer, the UK.
They will be privy to train with some of the worlds most elite athletes, get a behind the scenes experience, invaluable mentoring and first-hand knowledge of what it takes to make their dreams a reality. They will get to play against local teams and immerse themselves in the world around them. An experience that, to many, is simply incomprehensible. This is an opportunity that will help them strive to believe in themselves, enhance their skills, give them drive and motivation to allow them to see behind their own limitations. It helps kids thrive, encourages discipline, supports healthy lifestyle habits, develops communication skills, grow connections and above all gives an abundance of life skills that will be everlasting.
In 2024, Mint Windows are proudly sponsoring 13 year old Elijah, a young passionate soccer player from Port Darwin Wharfies Soccer Club to embark on this once in a lifetime adventure. Elijah lives in the Northern Territory and loves sport When he isn’t playing soccer, sailing or swimming, he will be proudly (and loudly!) barracking for his beloved AFL team, Geelong. His favourite player of all time is Joel Selwood. When the heat hits you’ll see him riding his bike with his cat named Selwyn on the back, as they head off to the river to cool down. Selwyn, unlike most cats, loves the water ! These two are the perfect match and love adventure.
