You wouldn’t surf in your toilet, swim in acid or drop a toaster into your bath so get out of flood water !

When the rain eases, the danger doesn’t. Flood waters are dangerous. Not only are they unpredictable, with unstable currents ripping out the underlying ground, but they hide a myriad of issues. Flood water usually is rarely just rain water. It is a deadly combination of whatever it has tortured in its path. It doesn’t discriminate. Along for the ride hidden in those murky rapids can be contaminated pollutants, chemicals, toxins, sewerage and unfathomable debris from larger objects. Vehicles, broken metal, glass, fuel, and hazardous waste. It all gets swept up in the mix that you don’t always see, especially electricity from fallen powerlines. The danger is real. It can be deadly.
Even when the disaster seems to subside the next threat arises. Snakes, mosquitosand water borne disease can spread quickly and open wounds can become infected from contaminated flood waters. It may look like harmless fun to play in the shallow flood waters in your street or surf on the footy oval but flood water isn’t your friend.
IF IT’S FLOODED WATER FORGET IT !
